Gravity's Overrated

Shine like it does - the light on a bedframe

Shine like it does out on the water when sun came

Shine like it does - small hope from a street light

Shine like it does when wood meets spark in a dry rain

And if hands won't hold you up

And it's words that drag you down

Know that gravity's overrated

And the image remains long after the colours have faded

Shine like it does - the frost through a glass pane

Shine like it does when sun hits wheat in the flat plains

Shine like it does - the moon in it's full phase

Shine like it does high in a heavenly stargaze

And if dreams won't hold you up

And it's time that drags you down

Know that gravity's overrated

It's the stage that remains long after the actors have played it

And all that you gain is the knowledge that life's what you've made it
